With a share capital of more than 838 million euros in 2021 and more than 2500 experts dedicated to cyber security, we are today the European leader in the cyber defense market, and we need someone to help us tell the stories that matter most to our customers.In a fast-changing and challenging digital environment, the Cyber Security Solutions Engineering Team is seeking a Security Solutions Engineer specialising in OT Security at Orange CyberDefense. The Security Solutions Engineer is our technical expert, testing, validating, and creating solutions to protect operational technology environments from cyber threats. The role requires a deep understanding of both OT and threat detection solutions, as well as experience in designing and implementing security solutions in these environments to provide effective security protections. This is a highly technical role requiring coordination across our vendors, presales, product management, implementation, and operations teams.Your roles and responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Test and develop OT technology solutions (e.g., Nozomi, MS Defender, Cisco CyberVision), overall architecture, and components for global OT - ICS SCADA cybersecurity customer projects.
  • Test and validate new features for customised, generic, and complex solutions in the lab based on specifications.
  • Perform system integration across multiple platforms.
  • Participate in the research, design, and implementation of new OT technologies, architectures, and products to support security requirements for operational technologies and their customers.
  • Serve as a security expert in the operational technologies space, including network and/or platform (operating system), assisting project teams in complying with OT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide operations, pre-sales, sales, and marketing teams with appropriate support, documentation, and training, leading them during rollout and deployment.
  • Perform operational tasks during pilot phases to support operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Solutions, Professional Services, Service Delivery, and Operations teams to design, develop, and support security solutions, and occasionally engage directly with Orange's customers on critical strategic occasions.
  • Research and utilise emerging IT/OT/IoT cybersecurity solutions, networking, inventory, and reporting mechanisms to detect, protect, and respond to cybersecurity threats in global manufacturing facilities, including service operations.
  • Develop OT cybersecurity Roadmaps in collaboration with product managers.
  • Provide Level 3 support for security operations teams.
  • Identify and raise risks to management regarding the current service and future enhancements if necessary.
about youEducation, Qualifications, and Certifications:
  • Engineering Degree in Computer, Communication, Electronics, MIS, or equivalent experience.
  • Information security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.) are a plus.
Professional Experience:
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of technical experience in IT/network operations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing network and security infrastructures.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practice in an ITIL-managed activity.
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional security.
  • Proficient understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching, backup, monitoring).
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware ESXI, Hypervisor) and Linux systems.
  • At least 4 years of in-depth experience with one of the following systems:
  • Nozomi
  • MS Defender for IoT
  • Cisco CyberVision
  • McAfee Trellix IPS
  • Vectra AI NDR
  • Arbor Anti-DDoS
  • Cloud technologies: Azure/AWS
  • The ability to develop Shell, Perl, or Python scripts is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Hands-on experience in evaluating specifications, lab validation, and testing.
  • Hands-on experience in analysing architecture and building proposals.
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation for operations, pre-sales, sales, & marketing.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is a must; French is a plus.
