- Collaborate with stakeholders to create a comprehensive product roadmap, including feature prioritization, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Work closely with software engineers, designers, and QA teams to translate product requirements into detailed specifications and user stories.
- Lead the product development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather user feedback to iterate and improve product features.
- Monitor product usage, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements or new features to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and pricing strategies.
- Provide product training and support to internal teams, including customer support and sales, to ensure a deep understanding of product features and benefits.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, accounting regulations, and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in the software industry, with a focus on accounting software applications.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts, including financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Proven experience in managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience with product management tools, such as JIRA or Trello.
- Knowledge of software development processes and technologies, including cloud-based solutions, APIs, and data integration.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
