- Prepare Metering and Relaying Diagrams, calculations and determines the required protection and protective relays.
- Develop detailed Bill of material for the Protection, Control and Metering devices with detailed ordering code.
- Prepare Communication architectural block diagram (SAS Architecture)
- Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) of the Protection Control & metering system, when required.
- Provide technical support & troubleshooting including resolving site queries, attending site meetings and performing site inspections, as required.
- Design Aux. AC & DC SLD.
- Prepare CT & VT sizing calculations.
- Prepare Aux. Transformer Sizing, AC & DC Circuit Breaker and Cable sizing, Charger and Battery Sizing.
- Review LCC, SWGR, Capacitor Bank and Control and Protection schematic drawings
- Review Technical Offers from suppliers.
- Prepare protection relays settings for protection and control.
- Develop load flow, short circuit analysis and relay coordination studies is an advantage.
- Good communication.
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Excellent command of English
- Flexibility to work under pressure and in different environment.
- Problems solving skills.
- Good experience in Protection, Control & Metering for Power plants, substations and distribution networks.
- Proficient in the use of modelling software (i.e. ETAP).
- A strong understanding of electrical theory, codes & standards of electrical systems.
- Knowledge of modern power systems, power system protection and relay technologies.
- Knowledge of metering systems.
- Excellent Knowledge of SAS & Power System Automation.
