Purpose of the job
  • Managing End to End planning and support activities for Business Support Systems (CRM, Billing, Charging and Mediation) and responsible for building the best practices of Element manager systems, tools to enhance operational performance and driving E2E service monitoring mind set
  • Responsible for availability, delivery, resolution and incidents of BSS systems
  • Act as BSS second level of support for operations team and promptly react to their complaints and fix any raising issues according to the agreed SLA
Duties and responsibilities
  • Day to day operational activities and administration of all BSS components.
  • Perform investigation and root cause analysis on problems affecting system operation and recommend resolution actions.
  • Perform activities necessary to repair BSS systems to restore the functionality, availability and performance as required.
  • Monitor and handling the raised issues for CRM, billing and mediation systems.
  • Handling CRM requirements, starting from feasibility study, design, implementation, integration, Go-live activities.
  • Manages E2E data charging projects & bundled offers from charging side, perform all activities related to project management, managing technical and business aspects of projects engagements including solution design, development, unit testing until deployment on live system nodes within agreed timelines.
  • Technical assessment and project management for Mediation in business analysis, design, implementation, development, and functional testing of the integrated Solutions.
  • Handling tickets related to BSS systems and ensure resolution is done as per agreed SLAs.
  • Creating needed software support trouble tickets to vendor and ensure close follow-up till case is resolved.
  • Proactively analyze system running logs to conclude if application is working normally and report potential bugs in the BSS applications to vendor support.
  • Support business configuration issues.
  • Implementation of approved changes.
  • Bill Collections plans configuration updates as needed.
  • Create/Update tariff configuration from SPS GUI.
  • Product catalogue configuration (for CRM and Billing related configurations).
  • Implement code fixes and configuration changes.
  • Data clean up and reconciliation between systems.
  • Regular health checks on systems and processes.
  • Regular audit related preparations and applying needed corrective actions.
  • Providing periodic reports to the utilization of the system from licensing and capacity perspective.
  • Proactively monitor the performance of the BSS systems.
  • Develop and deliver training to new entry BSS engineers.
  • Ensure proper integration for any new BSS system with other existing systems and tools.
  • Documentation of application specific procedures and process.
Job specificationEducation
  • Bachelor's degree from Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
Experience
  • Minimum 3 Years Experience In The Same Function.
  • Knowledge of workflows and BSS suite of systems.
  • Knowledge of Network archituctures, Invontory creation, Management and Provisioning.
  • Experienced in implementing network automation.
  • Good understanding of E2E telecom OSS / BSS applications.
  • Knowledge of different communication protocols (TCP/IP, DB, SOAP, CORBA, REST, ).
  • Knowledge in database work (SQL, ).
  • Knowledge of programming languages is a plus (Java, C / C++, Python, Kafka, ).
  • Application integration (via APIs).
