- Manage the team of web engineers building our web and mobile customer products.
- Work with individual engineers on your team on their professional development including conducting regular performance reviews and professional development.
- Work with the product management and design teams to ensure that we are building great products that benefit our customers.
- Accountability and development of the roadmap, staffing, prioritisation decisions, process and celebrations
- Inspire your team to tap into their creativity to build great products experiences with clean and maintainable code
- Clear obstacles for your team so they can maintain a high development velocity.
- Co-develop and implement digital engineering documentation, processes and data schemas to manage information and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Report directly to the IS Digital Manager and work closely on technical, team structure, process, and recruiting strategies.
Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical.Professional Experience
- At least 4 years experience in hands-on development writing production code for consumer products.
- At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams (20+ members)
- Experience growing and coaching engineers and engineering leaders towards excellence and high performance
- Ability to lead teams in an adaptive and agile way, navigating a complex, high-change world in order to deliver results
- Experience with Web technologies, NodeJs, JavaScript and container-based technologies.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture, IS modernization and operational best practices for building and maintaining highly available / scalable applications. Knowledge of modern concepts of software development and architectures (SoC, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, SOA). Comfortable with AWS cloud technologies.
- Result orientation, with desire to improve our customer's experience
- You are particularly pragmatic and rigorous.
- Great communication and leadership skills.
