
Senior Corporate Accountant

- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and EAS.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with EAS.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse accounting data to identify trends and report on financial performance.
- Liaise with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place and adhered to.
- In coordination with Tax Advisor, prepare and file all types of Egyptian tax returns, including but not limited to:
o Value Added Tax (VAT) returns.
o Payroll Tax (Salaries Tax) returns.
o Stamp Duty returns.
o Withholding Tax returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of all tax obligations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in Egyptian tax laws, regulations, and pronouncements, and advise management on potential impacts.
- Reconcile tax accounts and resolve any discrepancies with the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA).
- Assist in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring compliance.
- In coordination with Tax Advisor, handle tax inspections and inquiries from the ETA, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain comprehensive tax records and documentation.
- Demonstrated competence to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and ensure accuracy in all tasks, with a keen focus on delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in a similar accounting role in Egypt, with a strong focus on both general and tax accounting.
- Proven expertise in Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
- Strong English language skills (both verbal and written).
- Hotel Finance experience and / or centralized accounting experience
- Systems knowledge: Navision, DocuWare, Birchstreet, Oasys
