  • Constantly monitor what the company purchases, delivers, and spends to determine if goods are defective or not meeting performance demands.
  • Partner with the local business to identify and plan sourcing initiatives and other projects.
  • Manage procurement activities in compliance with the Procurement Policy. This includes sourcing, supplier management, contract management and all transactional activities.
  • Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of contracts to ensure realization of strategic procurement objectives.
  • Ensure contracts are completed for the majority of expenditure and include appropriate reference to SGS policies eg SLAs, continuous improvement, health and safety, sustainability and payment terms as well as appropriate protection for SGS in the event of non-compliance or service delivery issues.
  • Support the identification and creation of supplier catalogues on ERP for the majority of spend.
  • Support the transactional buyer role in ERP, challenging new supplier set up, challenging requisitions as they are converted to purchase orders and analyzing spend with incumbent suppliers.
  • To design appropriate reporting and monitoring mechanisms that identify cost savings by category, business, and branch.
  • Plan, design and implement the cost effectiveness strategy.
  • Define, manage, and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  • Manage supplier performance with a focus on continuous total cost and performance, defined improvement, and innovation.
  • Effectively negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply.
  • Provide analysis and reporting tools to monitor and measure the effectiveness of sourcing and supplier activities.
  • Lead the delivery of procurement systems and procedures in partnership with country and purchasing leaders in the global team.
  • Lead the development and deployment of the global supplier's portal program to improve performance and reduce transaction cost.
  • Reduce the amount of non-value adding time in the overall Requisition to Pay process through:
- Application of best practice/best process irrespective of the application in use.- Identification and elimination of chronic errors in existing systems.- Understanding of user issues in order to suggest effective improvement options without resort to customized solutions.
  • To promote maximum use of installed systems in order to bring spending under control.
  • Support the overall development of the procurement function within SGS in Egypt against the principles already establish (internal customer supplier relationship).
  • To participate in Functional procurement activity as required by the Global Procurement leader.
  • In partnership with Strategic Sourcing, develop, embed, and manage procurement compliance.
  • Comply with Oi rules and requirements in all procurement processes and making sure the specifications of procurement items are matched with Ol rules.
  • Apply effective receiving checking process at the time of receiving purchased items.
Qualifications
  • BSc/BA in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Supervisor (3-5 years).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
  • Very Good in English.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
