Job Description:Position: Head of External Audit, Audit Firm Bahrain Back OfficeLocation: Cairo, EgyptContract Details: Full-timeCompany Overview:Our client is a leading audit firm based in Bahrain with a strong presence in the Middle East. They provide a wide range of audit, assurance, and advisory services to clients in various industries. In order to expand their operations and strengthen their team, they are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Head of External Audit to lead their back office team in Cairo, Egypt.Job Summary:The Head of External Audit will be responsible for overseeing the back office operations of the audit firm's Bahrain office. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of audit engagements for clients. The role will also involve developing and maintaining client relationships, providing technical guidance and support to team members, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • - Lead and manage the back office team in Cairo, Egypt, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • - Oversee the planning and execution of audit engagements for clients in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-quality service and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • - Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
  • - Review and analyze audit reports and financial statements to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • - Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • - Collaborate with other teams within the firm to identify opportunities for cross-selling services and expanding the client base.
  • - Monitor and manage the team's performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • - Conduct regular training and development programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • - Communicate with senior management and partners on the progress and performance of the back office team.
Qualifications:
  • - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • - CPA, ACCA, or other relevant professional certification.
  • - Minimum of 10 years of experience in external audit, preferably in a managerial role.
  • - Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as IFRS and GAAP.
  • - Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
  • - Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and meeting tight deadlines.
  • - Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
