Run what runs the worldThis Position reports to: Sales ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a highly effective Digital sales strategy to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations for the entire Process Industries industrial software portfolio. Plan and ensure execution of digital sales strategy within the regions defined in North Africa, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for assigned digital sales portfolio in a profitable way: orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Grow the sales pipeline and drive opportunities down the sales funnel to closure. Monitor proactively assigned digital sales performance, ensuring development and implementation of correction actions to secure business growth when and where needed. Responsible for leading, developing and supporting the related sales organization (other front-end sales, sales managers and digital sales specialists within scope) proactively.The work model for the role is: #onsite #onsite-LiThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI) division in the North Africa region. This is an individual contributor role requiring to work closely with Sales and account managers and customers to promote digital solutions. The role reports directly to the Sales Manager – PAPI Egypt. Main stakeholders include the direct manager, front-end sales teams, account and segment managers, cross-functional teams, and key external customers across all process industry verticals.Key Responsibilities:Selling digital solutions across all key solution areas, with a focus on meeting volume, margin, and profitability targetsProviding sales leadership and strategic direction to internal teams to accelerate digital order growth and business developmentDesigning and executing strategic sales plans that expand ABB’s digital presence and pipeline in core process industry segmentsBuilding strong, trust-based relationships with customers by aligning ABB’s solutions to their business needs and digital strategiesEnsuring end-to-end customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle—from opportunity development through closure and post-sale supportLeading and participating in business reviews and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), ensuring visibility and alignment on all critical dealsCollaborating across business lines and functions to drive integrated solution sales and a smooth customer journey in a matrix environmentMonitoring customer financials and proactively managing risks related to contracts and cyber securityEngaging with strategic ecosystem partners and industry experts to co-create value-driven solutions and develop compelling proposalsSupporting the adoption of new digital business models by identifying value levers and monetization opportunities, while sustaining ABB’s traditional businessYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.Qualifications:Expertise in digitalization, industrial software, and consultative selling within the operational technology (OT) spaceMinimum of 7 years of experience in the OT/software industry, with a strong focus on digital transformation, customer success, and strategic sellingProven experience in digital solution areas including: Operational Excellence, Process Performance (incl. simulation), Asset Performance Management, Sustainability, Connected Workforce, and CybersecurityStrong customer engagement skills and a track record of delivering results in complex, matrixed organizationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering; a Master’s or MBA is a plusFluent in English, (French is a strong advantage)Able and authorized to travel as required across assigned marketsExperienced in managing cross-functional teams and delivering results under pressure and tight timelinesSector-specific knowledge in key industries such as Mining, Metals, Pulp & Paper, and Food & BeverageRecognized in the industry with insight into digital market trends and a reputation for strategic, results-driven executionWhat's in it for you?We want you to bring your full self to work—your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
