- Evaluate SAM maturity and governance, with a focus on software assets supporting cybersecurity programs, ensuring alignment with internal controls and best practices.
- Analyze license entitlements and usage to identify underutilization, over-licensing, and potential savings across systems managed under cybersecurity functions.
- Advise on compliance risks, interpreting vendor agreements to ensure licensing alignment-especially in areas subject to audit or regulatory oversight.
- Support audit readiness and vendor negotiations, equipping cybersecurity stakeholders with structured software asset data and risk insights.
- Identify contract optimization opportunities, reviewing existing agreements and renewals in the context of ongoing and upcoming cybersecurity initiatives.
- Develop SAM strategies and roadmaps that align with broader cybersecurity objectives and operational needs.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, procurement, and finance teams, ensuring a cohesive and secure approach to software asset governance.
- Assess and enhance IT asset management processes including SAM, HAM, and CMDB, driving improved visibility and control across systems used by cybersecurity teams.
- Recommend tooling improvements, advising on platforms that support more effective asset oversight within the security landscape.
- Deliver insights through reports and presentations, enabling informed licensing and cost management decisions within cybersecurity-aligned environments.

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
- 2-7 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT asset management, or software licensing, ideally supporting cybersecurity or other high-compliance domains.
- Familiarity with major licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe) and SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow, Microsoft SCCM, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills to assess software usage, licensing terms, and compliance risks-particularly in security-sensitive environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and research platforms to deliver clear, concise, and impactful documentation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in dynamic, cross-functional teams, including those within cybersecurity, procurement, and IT operations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CSAM, or Microsoft SAM are a plus, particularly if aligned to IT governance or cybersecurity standards.
