Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that “Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.Role PurposeThe Humanitarian Finance & Grants Officer is responsible for ensuring high-quality financial management, donor compliance, and grants oversight within Plan International Egypt’s Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Unit. The role supports effective stewardship of donor resources in line with Plan International’s policies, Egyptian statutory requirements, and donor regulations, enabling timely, accountable, and impactful delivery of humanitarian assistance.You will be responsible to do the following;
  • Provides financial and grants management support across all humanitarian and emergency response projects.
  • Oversees financial reporting, budget monitoring, and donor compliance for multiple grants.
  • Ensures effective internal controls, audit readiness, and financial risk management.
  • Builds capacity of programme staff and partners on financial management and donor requirements.
  • Collaborates closely with Grants, Programme, Supply Chain, and Finance teams for integrated humanitarian delivery.
  • Liaises with donors, auditors, and Plan International’s global humanitarian finance networks.
Child Protection, Gender Equality and Inclusion
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children, Young People and Programmes Participants and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility.
