These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.Job DescriptionThis role is based in our Cairo Festival City Business Park, New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt office.Reports to: Director of Business IntelligenceThe RoleWe are seeking a Data Analyst to join the EMEA Business Intelligence team. This Cairo-based role works closely with colleagues across the region, delivering insights that drive commercial growth, enhance customer understanding, and enable operational excellence.You'll work with large, complex datasets to build impactful reporting and analysis. While the role is rooted in core data analytics and BI skills, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that explore the use of AI, automation, and advanced analytics - gaining exposure to tools and techniques that are shaping the future of business intelligence.Core Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Intelligence and wider BI team to deliver actionable insights using data analysis, visualisation, and AI techniques.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI that help commercial teams act on trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare, clean, and model data from sources such as APIs, SQL databases, SharePoint, and customer feedback.
  • Support the development of data pipelines from the enterprise data lake into Power BI using Dataflows and ETL processes.
  • Contribute to projects exploring how AI and automation can be applied to make our reporting faster, smarter, and more scalable - with opportunities to learn and work on tools for summarisation, sentiment analysis, clustering, and automated reporting
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into reporting or analytical solutions.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Help ensure our data is accurate, consistent, and ready for decision-making.
QualificationsSkills required:Technical Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
  • 2+ years in a data analytics or BI role with demonstrable impact
  • Strong SQL skills and core data engineering knowledge
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis (experience with Pandas, scikit-learn, Plotly).
  • 2+ years' experience with data visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI & DAX).
  • Experience building pipelines and transforming data from data lakes using Power BI Dataflows and related ETL processes.
  • In-depth understanding of integrating diverse data sources using APIs, databases, SharePoint, web extractions, and other relevant methods.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling concepts (e.g. star schema, snowflake schema) and integrating diverse sources (e.g. APIs, SharePoint, Salesforce CRM, web extractions, databases).
Analytical & Business Skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and data-gathering skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise work in deadline-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of organizational processes and business functions to align data analytics initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience of working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities and timelines/due dates pragmatically
Ways of Working and Communication
  • Proactive in staying up to date with analytics trends and best practices including AI innovation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct in handling sensitive data and ensuring compliance with privacy and security standards.
  • Proficient communicator, able to deal with varying stakeholder queries and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools (MS. Outlook, Excel, Word etc).
Desired Skills:
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts (e.g. LLM APIs, LangChain, HuggingFace, RAG frameworks).
  • Experience with lightweight deployment tools such as Streamlit, FastAPI, or Dash App.
  • Hands-on work with customer feedback, NPS/CSAT, or CRM data.
  • Commercial data analysis such as revenue, pricing, customer value, sales performance, or retention.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations e.g. GDPR, CASL etc.
  • Statistical analysis and data modelling.
